Driver Charged In Fatal NYC Crash That Left 1 Person Dead: NYPD
The 32-year-old driver has been charged with manslaughter in the second degree and criminally negligent homicide, among other charges.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 32-year-old driver has been arrested and charged for a crash in Brooklyn that killed one person Thursday afternoon, police announced.
Tyree Epps has been charged with manslaughter in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign, and speeding.
Epps is accused of driving a black Mercedes and colliding with a school bus at Blake Avenue and Van Sinderen Avenue around 1:17 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The collision caused the front passenger of the Mercedes-Benz, a 26-year-old woman, to suffer severe head trauma.
The 26-year-old was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

The 57-year-old operator of the school bus was transported to NYS Health and Hospitals/Kings County and is listed in stable condition.
Epps was taken into custody at the scene, police said.
The identity of the 26-year-old woman has not been released pending family notification.
