Farmingdale 2nd Graders Write Musical Compositions

Second grade students at the Farmingdale’s Woodward Parkway Elementary School recently learned a different form of note taking.

As part of a music education lesson, the students wrote their own musical compositions and concluded the unit with a “Young Composers Festival.” 

At the festival, students performed their compositions on the xylophone outdoors at the Woodward Parkway Courtyard for their peers to enjoy.
