Farmingdale Girl Earns Girl Scout Honor

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Legislator Rose Marie Walker recently honored Kelly Meyer of Farmingdale for earning her Girl Scout Gold Award.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout can earn.
Earning the Gold Award requires a minimum of 80 hours of planning and implementing a challenging, large-scale project that is innovative, engages others, and has a lasting impact on its targeted community with an emphasis on sustainability.
