Man Slashed in Neck; Cop Struck by Fleeing Minivan in Farmingdale
Five people are hospitalized, including a police officer, after a brawl broke out at a Long Island hookah lounge early Saturday.

FARMINGDALE, NY – Police are searching for a white minivan that struck three people, including a Nassau Police officer, outside a hookah lounge early Saturday.
Police were called to a disturbance at Mystique Gardens Hookah Lounge at 365 Conklin St. in Farmingdale around 2:45 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a male who had been slashed in his neck. As they approached the victim, he ran north into a municipal parking lot and collapsed.
While officers were rendering aid to the man, a white minivan drove through the lot, striking a parked Nissan and causing the Nassau to spin and strike a female pedestrian who was standing next to the vehicle, police said.

The minivan continued driving toward the officers, striking one of the officers as well as the slashing victim on the ground. The minivan then fled northbound out of the lot.
The man who was slashed, the female pedestrian and the officer were transported to an area hospital. A subsequent investigation led officers to the discovery of two additional victims at an area hospital. Police have not released any names or conditions of the victims.
