Saltzman Students Begin School with Important Message

Teachers offering message of inclusion through book discussion.

Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School welcomed students back to school for the 2013-2014 year with a message about inclusion.

Students, who were met on the first day of school by their teachers, were also given copies of  Kathryn Otoshi’s "One," a book illustrating the message of inclusion and how to stand up against bullying.

The book's distribution is part of the school’s Character Education program.  September’s theme is designated as respect and will be followed throughout the month.
