Harlem Restaurant Named Among Best Cheap Eats In NYC
A Harlem Jamaican restaurant just made at Eater NY list of the "city's best food deals in the five boroughs and beyond."

HARLEM, NY — An eatery in Harlem just made a list of the 40 best cheap eat restaurants in New York City.
Eater NY published an article this week titled, "40 Inexpensive Dining Destinations."
The Harlem restaurant to make the list? Jerk House at 2143 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. near West 127th Street.

Here's what Eater NY had to say about the Jamaican Harlem spot.
"Harlem has rarely seen a Jamaican steam-table restaurant with such a broad selection of island dishes," Eater NY wrote. "Sure, the jerk chicken is great, finished over a flame right before being served, but you’ll also find jerk pork, jerk ribs, and even jerk fried chicken."

The menu also includes Caribbean oxtail stew, mac & cheese, curry chicken, rasta pasta, small curry goat, salmon, and more.
Jerk House opened originally as a small takeout storefront in the Bronx, and now also has its Harlem location and another in Midtown East.
" We believe that Caribbean Cuisine and, specifically, the Jerk Culture is on the brink of an explosion in popularity as more segments of our society discover and, indeed, begin to crave the intensity of Jerk flavorfulness," reads a Jerk House's website.
Its slogan?
"We're Jerking Amazing."
