NYPD Bomb Squad Clears Suspicious Package in East Harlem
Police were called to investigate a suspicious package at Madison Avenue and 107th St.

EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD was called to investigate a suspicious package on the corner of Madison Avenue and East 107th Street at about 5:15 p.m.
A police spokesperson said a small box "with wires taped together" prompted the investigation right during the height of the evening commute. It was cleared at 6:45 p.m.
Madison Avenue was shut down from 105th Street to 108th Street due to the investigation. Buses were being rerouted along Third or Fifth avenues as follows:

- M1: Via Madison Av, right on 106 St, left on 3 Av, right on 116 St, right on Madison Av and regular route.
- M2, M3 and M4: Via Madison Av, right on 106 St, left on 3 Av, left on 116 St, left on 5 Av, right on 110 St and regular route.
