Two Stabbed On Harlem Bus, Police Said

A man is facing attempted murder and assault charges for the stabbings.

HARLEM, NY — A man is facing attempted murder charges after stabbing two people on an MTA bus in Harlem, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Willie Gomez, 45, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after stabbing two people aboard a bus on Amsterdam Avenue near the intersection of West 129th Street, police said. Gomez stabbed a 58-year-old man in the face and a 44-year-old man on the thigh, police said.

Gomez, a resident of Jamaica, Queens, will face attempted murder charges for the attack on the 58-year-old and assault charges for the attack on the 44-year-old, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Both stabbing victims survived the attack and were treated at St. Luke's hospital, police said.
