'10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s' Event Coming To Suffolk
The event will focus on recognizing Alzheimer's disease, the importance of early detection and diagnosis, resources, and more.

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY — An in-person event, "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's," is slated for 2 to 3 p.m. June 13 at the Cold Spring Harbor Library, the Long Island Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association announced.
"When it comes to ensuring that one receives the best possible medical care available, detecting an issue early on is essential," said Suffolk Legislator Stephanie Bontempi, who helped organize the event. "Due to the serious nature of Alzheimer’s disease, equipping yourself with knowledge about the warning signs is an absolute must. I hope the public takes full advantage of this educational opportunity."

The event will teach people:
- How to recognize the common signs of Alzheimer’s disease.
- How to approach someone about memory concerns.
- The importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis.

- Alzheimer’s Association resources.
"It is important to recognize the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia," said Taryn Kutujian, senior community education manager for the Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter. "We are here to provide the Long Island community the resources that you need to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia."
