Huntington Hospital Ranked Among Best In NYS By U.S. News & World Report

HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Hospital tied for the 15th-best hospital in New York in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best Hospitals rankings, according to a news release from Northwell Health.

"Northwell is constantly evolving, whether it is bringing in exceptional talent, the latest technologies, exciting therapies or even new hospitals, as we recently did when Nuvance Health joined our health system. All of this fuels the health system to greater heights with the ultimate goals of best outcomes and outstanding patient experience."

Northwell Health is the most awarded health system in the New York tri-state area five years in a row, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best Hospitals rankings.

Seven hospitals ranked among the best in New York state and four — North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center in New Hyde Park, Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and Glen Cove Hospital — combined to earn top 50 national rankings in 26 adult specialties.

NSUH, LIJ and Lenox each tied for the fifth-best hospital in New York, while Huntington Hospital tied for 15th, and South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore ranked 17th. Staten Island University Hospital tied for No. 19 along with Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, formerly part of Nuvance Health, which recently joined Northwell. The merger, completed in May, created the largest not-for-profit health system in the Northeast with 28 hospitals, more than 1,050 ambulatory care locations and 73 urgent care locations.
