Smithtown Police Blotter: Man Sold Fentanyl In Multiple Communities

ALSO: Man burglarized home; and man stole $4,290 worth of sunglasses, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Smithtown area from Oct. 28 through Nov. 3.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Oct. 31: William Banks, 47, of Smithtown, broke the exterior door of an occupied house on Pleasant Drive in Nesconset and entered, police said. Banks refused to leave when the homeowner ordered him to, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: illegal entry into dwelling and operator leaves scene of property damage accident.
  • Oct. 31: Jaydin Shuck, 19, of Selden, stole designer sunglasses worth $4,290 from Sunglass Hut at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny.
  • Oct. 30: Davonte Booker, 31, of Ronkonkoma, sold fentanyl in Smithtown and Lake Grove between March 2, 2023, and Oct. 16, 2024, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: 2 oz of narcotic drug and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: narcotic drug.
