Residents have expressed concerns about safety on 10th Avenue, where the 1 train is elevated, and runs above street level between 206th and 218th streets.

“I never see police in this area, never,” a resident told News 12 New York. “You have to go all the way by Broadway to see police, because that’s where the police precinct is, so it’s not really safe. If something happens to you—who's going to save you?”
