2 Attacked With Machete Near Uptown Charlotte: Reports

CHARLOTTE, NC — Two people were stabbed by a suspect wielding a machete near Uptown Charlotte Wednesday afternoon, prompting an area hospital to go into lockdown, according to reports.
The incident occurred near the 2110 block of East 7th Street near Ridgeway Avenue, and the suspect ran from the scene, WSOC reported.
Following the incident, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center went into lockdown as police searched the area for the suspect, WJZY reported. According to the station, the stabbing occurred on a city bus and left the two victims with life-threatening injuries.
