Boy, 6, Missing After Last Being Seen Near Rankin Lake

GASTONIA, NC — Authorities in Gastonia are searching for a missing 6-year-old boy with special needs in the area of Rankin Lake.

Maddox Ritch, 6, is blonde with blue eyes. He is four feet tall and weighs 45 pounds.

According to The Gaston Gazette, Ritch went missing around 1:30 p.m. Saturday and the search for him is ongoing on Sunday.

He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt with the words "I am the man" and black shorts.

Authorities asked anyone who might have seen him at the lake after noon on Saturday to call 704-866-3300.
