FBI Offers $10K Reward After Homemade Bombs Found In NC Town
Someone has left five homemade explosive devices along one street In Gibsonville, North Carolina, the FBI said.
NORTH CAROLINA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information after numerous homemade explosive devices were found along one street in a small town in central North Carolina.
"At least five homemade explosive devices have been found along Wood Street in Gibsonville, North Carolina, since Jan. 22, 2021," the FBI said. "Residents have also reported hearing explosions for the last several months."
"The FBI is extremely concerned someone is reckless enough to build these devices and careless enough to leave them lying around a neighborhood for anyone to find," Robert Wells, special agent in charge at the FBI Charlotte field office said. "We are grateful no one has been hurt and committed to finding out who is responsible."

The FBI Charlotte field office said anyone who locates a suspicious device should call 911 immediately and not touch it.
The FBI said anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact the Charlotte field office at 704-672-6100, or the Gibsonville Police Department at 336-449-6677.
