Homicide Probe Launched After Man Fatally Shot In Charlotte: CMPD

Charlotte police said they are not looking for additional suspects in the case.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in East Charlotte Tuesday afternoon, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

The Feb. 9 shooting occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. near the 1200 block of Kelston Place, CMPD said.

When responding CMPD officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on the scene by Medic, CMPD said.

"Homicide Detectives are speaking with all parties involved and are not looking for any additional suspects at this time," CMPD said in a statement.

CMPD said the homicide investigation remains active and ongoing, and asked that anyone with information about the incident call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
