Police Identify Victim In Fatal East Charlotte Shooting

Police said they were not looking for suspects after an 18-year-old male was shot and killed Sunday evening.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A homicide investigation is underway following a fatal shooting Sunday evening in east Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

Police identified the victim as Milton Howard, 18.

According to a CMPD report, the shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. March 14 in the 7000 block of Delta Lake Drive in Charlotte.

When responding officers arrived, they found Howard with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

"Homicide Detectives are speaking with all parties involved and are not looking for any additional suspects at this time," CMPD said.
