Roads Closing In Charlotte Monday And Tuesday For Parade Prep

Several roads will close Monday night and Tuesday so parade organizers can get the roads ready.

CHARLOTTE, NC — In advance of the Novant Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Charlotte Wednesday night, roads will start to close as early as tonight.

First, Tryon Street between Stonewall Street and Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. as well as Levine Avenue will shut down Monday night for parade preparations.

Then on Tuesday, Tryon will shut down between 9th and 11th in addition to any cross streets between College and Church Streets from 9th to 11th.

On Thanksgiving Eve, expect Tryon to be completely shut down between 9th and Morehead prior to the parade and until the parade is over and cleaned up.
