  1. Football player Demetrius Gearheart has signed with Marietta College to pursue both academic and athletic success. With a successful high school career under his belt, Gearheart aims to continue showcasing his skills as a defensive tackle for the Pioneers while studying business. Marietta College provides a promising opportunity for Gearheart to pursue his passion for football while receiving a college education. (WTAP)
  2. Ohio and Washington counties are implementing changes to voter registration procedures before the May 2 primary election. The deadline for county residents to register or update their name and address is 9:00 p.m. on Monday, and voters are required to present a current, valid photo ID when voting in person. Early voting will end on Apr. 30, and the last day to request a mail-in ballot is on Apr. 25. (Marietta Times)
  3. On Mar. 25, the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival in nearby Parkersburg held its Easter Pageant and announced the winners of the "Lil' Mister Chickadoo and Lil' Miss Chickadee" contest. Adalynn Barnes won the fan favorite award, while Brixtin Wasmer took home the photogenic prize. The festival's Board of Directors expressed their gratitude to all participants and announced that the next Children's Pageant would take place in August, and the Queen's Pageant is scheduled for 10-year-olds to 21-year-olds in July.
