- A firefighter from the Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department died in a head-on collision near State Route 821 near Marietta. The accident is under investigation. There were no other people involved in the crash. (Marietta Times)
- The Marietta Tigers narrowly lost a home game to the Parkersburg Big Reds on Monday evening with a final score of 68 to 63. This loss put the Tigers at 4-9 on the season. The team's next game is against Dover on Friday night. (WTAP)
