- Marietta College's Jason Ellis was named to the 2022 NABC Division III All-America first team. Ellis is the second person in Marietta College history to be named to an All-America team. He was also named to the NABC All-District 7 first team and was awarded the Player of the Year in District 7. (Subscription: Marietta Times)
- Two people are facing drug charges in Wood County after being arrested in connection with drug sales. Whitney Makala White, one of the arrestees, claimed to have bought the fentanyl found on her in Marietta. As of now, the Marietta police have not been involved. (Parkersburg News)
