  1. Ohio – and West Virginia – have entered the three-month burn ban window for the spring season. Residents in Ohio are not allowed to burn anything from Mar. 1 through May 31 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to prevent wildfires.   2. The Marietta City Council has approved the final planning phase of the Connecting Residents on Safer Streets Marietta Project. The project aims to build two parking garages in downtown Marietta, which will create more space for businesses and office space. The city is partnering with local entities to undertake the project, which will take several years to complete, according to Mayor Schlicher. (WTAP)
  3. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office's Mar. 6 new report, three people from Marietta were processed at the Washington County Jail at the beginning of the month. John David Bigler, 47, was charged with disorderly conduct, and 35-year-old Jonathan David Harshbarger was charged with a felony for domestic violence. Charles Earl Kelly, 75, was charged with two felonies: pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and possession of drugs. (Washington County Sheriff)
