- The Marietta City Schools Board of Education swore in its new board members on Thursday evening. Cody Parman, Eric Reed, and Sam Tuten, who won their seats on the board during this November's election, were all sworn in as new members of the Marietta Board in the ceremony. Reed and Tuten were also elected as President and Vice President of the board, respectively. (Paid: Marietta Times)
- The city of Marietta has reserved areas for Christmas tree and wreath disposal for residents. They can drop their trees and wreaths off near the dumpsters at either Gold Star Park on Harmar Hill or Indian Acres. Safely disposing of trees prevents dangerous fires. (WTAP-TV)
- On Friday, Marietta experienced a third water main break in Harmar Hill, causing a water service outage to a large portion of the area. As of yesterday, crews were working to remedy the situation. A water boil advisory is expected to be issued once the issue is solved. (City of Marietta)

- Visit Marietta Ohio announced the winners of the 2021 Merry-Etta Tour of Lights contest yesterday. Awards were given for Best Illumination, Best Traditional Light Display, Best Non-Traditional Light Display, and Mayor's Choice. Congratulations to the winners! (Facebook)
