Consumer Alert Issued For Pittsburgh-Area Restaurant
The Allegheny County Health Department uncovered some gross goings-on at a Pittsburgh-area restaurant.

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Chutney's, an Indian restaurant on Park Manor Boulevard in Robinson.
During an inspection this week, live roaches were observed on the prep table next to the prep sink; on the dish rack next to the dish machine; on the wall above the dish machine in the kitchen; in the pump housing of the dish machine; in the floor in the dry storage room and in a broken ice machine.
Dead roaches observed in the bulk rice storage container in the dry storage room. Many dead roaches were found on the floor under the three-bowl sink.

An inspector found that the dishwasher is not sanitizing. Soiled vegetable peelers and knives were found on a particle board shelf, and cooking utensils were being stored in dirty stagnant water.
