Ross Strawberry Jell-O Pretzel Salad Contest: 300 Varieties To Try

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Block Northway once again is preparing to host a culinary competition unlike any other in Pittsburgh. The annual Strawberry Jell-O Pretzel Salad Standoff will occur this year on May 10 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m.

Hosted by Rachael Rennebeck and John Chamberlin, the YaJaggoff! duo of KDKA-AM and podcast fame, the event will include 300 different samples of the yinzer concoction. The winner will receive a donation to the charity of their choice, a feature on the YaJagoff! Late Night, as well as a vendor spot at the Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival the following week.

Among the contestants: two-time winner Jay Obertance, who has selected the Ryan Douglass Field of Dreams Baseball Clinics as his charitable organization, and Desarae Legros, the comedy chef returning to support Pittsburgh's Community Kitchen.
