Saliva Salvo On Steelers Player Proves Costly For NFL Superstar
A Cincinnati Bengal is paying a high price for spitting on Steelers safety Jalen Ramsey during Sunday's game.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Spitting on a Pittsburgh Steeler is going to cost Cincinnati Bengals superstar Ja'Marr Chase dearly.
The NFL has suspended Chase for one game for spitting on safety Jalen Ramsey during the Steelers' 34-12 victory over the Bengals Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. Chase, widely regarded as the league's best wide receiver, will miss the Bengals' clash this weekend against the New England Patriots.
The financial implications are significant. According to CBS Sports, the suspension means Chase forfeits his weekly paycheck of $448,333 along with a $58,823 per game active bonus. That means the single lob of saliva will Chase $507,156.

Ramsey was disqualified from the game after throwing a punch at Chase after being spit on. Referees apparently did not see the incident and Chase denied he did it. But visual evidence of the moment strongly contradicted that denial.
Field-level view of the second altercation between Ja'Marr Chase and Jalen Ramsey. Chase said "I didn't spit on nobody." The video clearly shows he did.#Bengals @FOX19 pic.twitter.com/ooGzInoPdS
