Here is a list of scholarships for college bound high school seniors and law school students.

JOHNSTON, RI —Here is a list of scholarships for college bound high school seniors, Washington County women seeking certificates or associate's or bachelor's degrees; and law school students.
1. The Carter Roger Williams Initiative, administered through the Rhode Island Foundation, offers scholarships of up to $20,000 a year for up to four years of study to students who display appreciation of Roger Williams. "Candidates will be evaluated based on financial need, understanding of Roger Williams’ principles and record of academic and community achievement," the foundation said. Applicants must be Rhode Island residents and high school seniors at public, parochial or independent schools. More details about the scholarships are posted on findingrogerwilliams.com. Deadline is Feb. 12.
2. Red Sox Service Scholarships give $1,000 to one graduating student in each of the state's 42 public high schools. The winners are chosen for academic performance, community service and eligibility for financial aid. For a list of schools, the guidelines, and the application, click here. 3. The GFWC Women's Club of South County gives scholarships to women who are Washington County residents, age 19 or older on April 2. Amounts vary from year to year. For details, go to www.gfwcri.org/scholarship-program. Deadline is April 2.
4. The Rhode Island Bar Foundation gives two $20,000 scholarships to Rhode Island residents who enroll as first-year students in an American Bar Association accredited law school for the academic year beginning September 2018. The scholarship is for one year only and cannot be renewed. Click here for details. Deadline is March 30.
