NEWPORT, RI—National Grid continues work on Bellevue Avenue. This time, the northbound lane at East Bowery will be closed from 7 a.m. on Thursday until 3 p.m. on Friday, the police department said. Traffic will be detoured to Freebody Street and then to Memorial Boulevard. Police officers will be assigned to details to direct traffic. The southbound lane is staying open.
