Bellevue Avenue Section To Close For Road Work
National Grid is back to complete road work near Dixon Street and Parker Avenue, police said.
NEWPORT, RI—National Grid is sending crews back to Bellevue Avenue on Monday to complete road work near Dixon Street and Parker Avenue, police said. Northbound traffic on Bellevue will take a detour at Narragansett Avenue to Spring Street and/or Annandale Road. Work starts around 7 a.m. Monday.
This project will continue all week. The detour will stay in effect until 3 p.m. Monday. Then work resumes Tuesday, May 1 at 7 a.m. and goes around the clock until the job is done. That's expected to happen Friday at 3 p.m.
Police officers will be assigned details to direct traffic.
