Newport Arrests: Littering, Shoplifting
The following arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
- Michelle Dupree, 52 of Newport was cited on Tuesday around 8:40 a.m. for littering. Police responded to the area of Bayview Avenue and Broadway for a complaint that she had been living at out of her car outside their home, brushing her teeth from the dog dish and changing her clothes outside the car.
- Jermaine McCallister, 30, of 33 Park Holm was arrested on April 2 at 4:20 p.m. on a domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct charge. Police said he was engaged in violent behavior by screaming and smashing a glass bowl in the sink while standing next to his girlfriend. Newport Fire Department responded to treat a cut to his hand.
- Dustin Griffen, 39 of an unknown address was arrested on a shoplifting charge on Tuesday around 1:23 p.m. Griffen allegedly tried to steal earphones from Walmart.
- Charles Fenwick, 49, 90 Girard Avenue Apt 147 was arrested on Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. on an active warrant out of family court.
- Antonio Gomes, 19, 3 Prescott Place on April 2 around 3:34 p.m. on an active bench warrant charge out of the second district court.
