April 28
Shakim Hatim, 18, of Newport, was cited at 11:59 p.m. for littering. Police allege he threw a plastic wrapper out a car window at Thames and Extension streets. Hatim was a passenger in a car officers had been following because the juvenile driver was not leaving the proper interval between cars. Her mother was notified about a pending appearance in the traffic tribunal.

April 29
Joseph Cardillo and Colin F. McConnell, both 30, of Newport, were cited at 2:21 a.m. for playing loud music in an apartment on Catherine Street.

Eduardo Maldonado, 20, of Newport, was cited at 11:30 a.m. in the Festival Field apartments parking lot for Driving without a license or with an expired license. Police had followed him into the parking lot.
Momo Camara, 30, of Newport, was taken into custody on Thames Street at 10:40 p.m. for an outstanding bench warrant. Staff at Benjamin's had called police for a disorderly customer who was refusing to leave the restaurant.

Kyle C. Luderer, 31, of Newport, was cited at 12:45 a.m. for public urination at Court House Street and Broadway.
