Newport Police Looking For Jewelry Theft Suspect

NEWPORT, RI — Newport police have asked for the public's help identifying a woman they said stole hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry from a local store.

Around 5 p.m. Saturday, the woman pictured above stole $228 worth of jewelry from Kiel James Patrick at 3 Bowens Wharf in Newport, police said.

Police described the woman as middle-aged, with grayish brown, curly hair. According to police, she was wearing a yellow button-down shirt and tan pants and was holding two small white dogs, and a black bag.
