Newport's Bellevue Avenue To Close For Road Work On Monday

NEWPORT, RI — The northbound lane of Bellevue Avenue will be closed on Monday (April 23) from Memorial Boulevard to Prospect Hill Street, police said. The reason is National Grid is pouring concrete to replace two panels in the road. The work will start around 7 a.m. and should be over by 3 p.m. This is the same area that was closed earlier.

Traffic will be detoured at Memorial to America's Cup Avenue. Detail officers will be on duty to direct motorists.
