Just one third of the normal number of polling places will be open on Tuesday across the state. While many voters have complained about the potential for long lines, fewer polling places will save cities and towns some money.

Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea said that voters should use the state's Voter Information Center to confirm their polling place and pick up an emergency mail ballot from their local city or town hall through Monday if voting on Tuesday isn't an option.

Statewide, 144 polling places will open for Tuesday’s election.
