Watch: Newport Welcomes Volvo Ocean Racers, & Tall Ship 'Eagle'

NEWPORT, RI -- MAPFRE, then Brunel and then Vestas crossed the Leg 8 finish line. The boats appeared through the fog Tuesday morning, and Newport gave the fleet a big welcome. The arrival on Tuesday morning was videotaped by the Volvo Ocean Race Headquarters. To see the video, click here.
The Coast Guard's Barque Eagle also arrived at Fort Adams on Tuesday. The public is invited to take a free tour. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
