Wind Advisory for RI Through Tuesday
Gusts could reach 50 mph and cause power outages.

BOSTON, MA—The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for all of Southern New England, including Rhode Island, warning of potentially damaging gusts overnight.
The advisory, which will be in effect through all of Massachusetts from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., is for wind gusts up to 50 mph. Those sort of gusts can take down tree limbs and power sources. The National Weather Service warns of isolated power outages overnight.
The strong winds will be from midnight tonight through noon Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issues wind advisories when the forecast calls for gusts between 46 and 57 mph with sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph.
The conditions will also make for challenging driving, especially for high profile vehicles like trucks and large SUVs, the weather service said.
