• Driver killed in Warwick crash was from Pawtucket (turnto10.com) — A 25-year-old Pawtucket man, Luis Alonzo, has been identified as the driver killed in a fiery single-car crash in Warwick last month. Police say his speeding vehicle crossed Post Road and slammed into a traffic-light pole near Airport Road, and firefighters found him dead at the scene. Identification was confirmed through DNA testing.
   

• Dr. David P. Satloff (pvdeye.org) — Pawtucket readers are mourning Dr. David P. Satloff, a lifelong Rhode Islander and former city resident who passed away December 19 at age 70. A Tufts-trained dentist who practiced in North Attleboro for three decades, he was known for holistic care, deep Jewish community ties, and many evenings watching future Red Sox at McCoy Stadium.
