- Jimmy Bentley of Patch reports CVS Health will require some employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Woonsocket-based pharmacy chain said all corporate employees and patient-facing workers such as nurses must be fully vaccinated by Oct. 31. (Patch)
- Rachel Nunes of Patch reports Rhode Island "stands ready to welcome" Afghan refugees. (Patch)

- The Friends of the Woonsocket Harris Public Library says its s'more solar oven kits are available to tweens and teens ages 11 and up. They're available — until they aren't! (Facebook)

- The RI Hospitality Association said there were more than 278,000 applicants for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Of those, 177,000 did not receive any money, leaving about $43.6 billion in unfunded applications. These restaurants will "continue to struggle" until Congress replenishes the fund, the group said.
