Estelle S. Guy: Keypunch Operator, Loving Aunt Enjoyed Bingo, Cards

Woonsocket native died June 4 at Landmark Medical Center.

 

Estelle S. Guy, 83, of Woonsocket, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center after a brief illness, according to Menard Lacouture Funeral Home.

Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Amedee and Aurore (Guilbert) Guy. Estelle was a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School.

Estelle was employed as a file clerk at Stock-Weather & Shepley in Providence for several years and also as a key punch operator.

Estelle was a longtime communicant of Precious Blood Church. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Estelle will be remembered as a sweet lady with a quiet and gentle soul.

She is survived by her sister Sr. Lillian Guy RJM, in residence at St. Antoine, North Smithfield, and by many nieces and nephews and their families including a nephew and niece who were her caregivers for the past several years Guy A. Fleuette and Jeannine Morin both of Bellingham.

She was the sister of the late Aurelien, Leandre, Laurent, Ulyses, Roland, Hilaire, Amedee Jr., Jean-Paul, and Rev. Jules Guy, OMI, Jeannette Fontaine, Gisele Gamache, Yolande Brothers, Aline Fleuette and Bernadette Forget.
