Free Shredding Event in Woonsocket Saturday
Get rid of old documents and confidential files safely.

WOONSOCKET, RI—Throwing away credit card offers, account statements and other personal information is a surefire way to open yourself up to identity fraud.
The best way to get rid of confidential documents is to shred them. And thanks to a free event this Saturday, May 7, any Woonsocket resident can get stuff shredded with ease.
The event will be held at the city's recycling facility at 943 River Street.

Get there early because the event will end before noon if the shredding truck is full.
All papers will be shredded on location in a mobile truck.

"We are happy again to be able to offer this service again for our residents. Sensitive documents that are no longer needed, can be disposed of properly," said Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt.
The event is open for residents only. Be sure to clear papers of binder clips, staples and paper clips.
