Monday Five: RiverzEdge Open Studios, Council, Commission, Cash Mob and Cars Tonight
There's more happening tonight than you can shake a stick at - check it out in this morning's things to know:

RiverzEdge Open Studios Join RiverzEdge Arts Project Thursday, June 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. for their 2013 Open Studios and Senior Bash. Come and check out the art and design, enjoy a potluck dinner and BBQ, DIY screen-printing, photo booth, and other hands-on activities as well as a senior awards ceremony. This is a great opportunity to come into the studios, see some amazing work from some amazing teens and wish our seniors well as they head off to the next chapter in their lives.
Budget Commission - The Woonsocket Budget Commission meets today, 3 p.m. in Harris Hall at City Hall, 169 Main St. Among the items on their agenda, they'll consider hiring legal counsel to represent the city's interests in Synagro's bankruptcy filing. They'll aslo review City Council ordinances making solar energy projects eligible for payments in lieu of taxes (PILOT), creating a revolving fund for road and bridge repair, and adopting the Main Street Livability Plan.

Council - The Woonsocket City Council meets tonight, 7 p.m. in Harris Hall at City Hall. Among the items on their agenda, (see attached .pdf) they'll consider legislation authorizing a bid for the reconstuction of Cumberland Street, Maple Street and a portion of Hamlet Ave. DPW Director Sheila McGauvran has recommended the councilors award the job to the low bidder, Cardi Corp., at $443,226. The Council will also consider second passage of a resolution banning smoking in city parks.
Cash Mob, Cash Mob - The next Woonsocket Cash Mob is tonight. The gathering location will be at 186 Cass Ave. in Woonsocket (parking lot across form Landmark Medical). Bring $20 and see who gets a Northern Ri stimulus this evening.

The two mystery businesses to be mobbed will be announced promptly at 6:15 p.m. The Cash Mob concept is simple: gather a large group of people, mobbers, who agree to spend $20 at each venue. The events are sponsored by the Northern RI Chamber of Commerce and the Blackstone Valley Independent Business Alliance.
Classic cars - Show up at Patriot's Diner, 65 Founders Dr., tonight at 5 p.m. for Classic Car Cruise Night. Take a trip down Memory Lane at a nostalgic '50s diner with vintage cars.
Coyne Family Fire Fund - On the afternoon of Tuesday April 30th, Lt. John Coyne of the Smithfield Fire Department and his family lost their Woonsocket home due to a tragic fire. The Smithfield Firefighters, along with close friends of the Coyne's, have set up a fundraising page to help alleviate some of the financial burden that John and Dawn will face over the upcoming months.
