Monday Five: Council, Scout Fundraisers, Yard Waste, Fisher
Good morning - check out today's things to know:

Council tonight - The Woonsocket City Council meets Monday night, 7 p.m. in Harris Hall at City Hall, 169 Main St. They'll consider an ordinance allowing the fire chief to bypass competitive bidding for repairs to a fire department vehicle, and a resolution instructing the Budget Commission to suppor a design-build plan for the city's new water treatment plant.
Pack 2 Pawsox, Yard Sale - Pack 2 Woonsocket. We are currently selling PawSox tickets for only 8$ each for General admission seats. The game is on July 29 at 7:05 pm. Proceeds will benefit Pack 2 events.

Pack 2 is also hosting their first Yard Sale & Car Wash on June 30 at OLQM from 11-3. We are looking for any donations of items to sell.

Yard waste pickup ends - Curbside pick-up of yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds, etc.) will END on your trash/recycling collection day during the week of June 17 to June 21.
The drop-off site in Blackstone, MA, off Canal Street (North Smithfield) will continue to be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, for those residents having the appropriate yard waste sticker; all residential properties in the City of Woonsocket are included in the yard waste drop-off program. Stickers can be obtained, for a $25.00 fee, at City Hall in the Department of Public Works, Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 4 pm. Proper identification and vehicle registration is required. Commercial vehicle registrations are excluded from this program.
Residents are reminded that it is illegal to throw yard waste in the household waste collection carts.
Curbside yard waste collection will resume in October. Questions can be directed to the Solid Waste Division at 401-767-8880.
Flag Retirement Ceremony Troop 2 / Catholic Financial Life will host its 13th annual American Flag Retirement Ceremony Sunday, June 16, 11:45 a.m. at OLQM Church on Park Avenue. Scouts need to arrive at 10:30 am to set-up. Class A uniform required.
Fisher candidate forum - Dave Fisher, Green Party candidate for Mayor, has announced the second in a series of public listening events to garner input and gain insight from local residents and business owners on the future of the city at Le Moulin Artists Mall, 68 South Main St., Woonsocket June 18, 6-8 p.m.
