No Parking: Woonsocket Cracks Down On Out-Of-State Cars
Police sent summonses to 54 car owners with out-of-state plates. They allegedly parked in the City for more than 30 days.

WOONSOCKET, RI—The City is cracking down on people parking cars with out-of-state plates, according to the mayor's office. The police sent 54 summonses to people whose cars that were parked in garages or around Woonsocket for more than 30 days, if they had out-of-state plates. That violates state law.
Residents are required to pay a car tax, the mayor's office said. People who received a summons are due in the Traffic Tribunal next month.
