Woonsocket Policemen Timothy Green and Gabriel Koneczny were called to 640 Social St. to check on the address after the station received a 911 hangup call.

Lamont lead the officers to the apartment. When they entered, Koneczny saw the apartment was in disarray; the floors covered with food, liquid, and broken items from the kitchen. Standing in the kitchen, crying, were a woman and her 14-year-old daughter.

The older woman was holding her shirt, which had been ripped, together with her hands, was bleeding from her eye and had two scratches down the front of her chest.

After speaking with the two women, Koneczny learned that during an argument, Lamont had grabbed both women by the shirt, dragging them across the kitchen and pinning them to the wall. During this time, Mark Mills, 33 of 640 Social St., apt. 4, Lamont's brother, arrived and began strking his the older woman in the waist, according to Koneczny's report.

Lamont continued to assault the woman, slamming her against walls and punching her, according to Koneczny's report.

As Koneczny attempted to arrest Lamont, Mark interfered, placing himself in between them and preventing the officer from making the arrest until Greene arrested him as well.

As Koneczny advised the family that the brothers had been arrested, Melissa Ballard, 33 of 640 Social St., apt. 4, ran up to the apartment yelling obscenities at the victim, but was stopped by Koneczny. He also arrested her and charged her with disorderly conduct.
