Woonsocket Police Arrest Man for Intent to Deliver Marijuana During Traffic Stop
The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A broken rear license plate light prompted a Woonsocket officer to stop a Bellingham driver May 28, leading to the discovery of three ounces of marijuana, plastic baggies, a scale and a charge of marijuana posession with intent to deliver.
Officer Joseph Brazil spotted the silver Lincoln Towncar driven by Kyle Mancini, 20, of 40 Oak St., Bellingham, MA on South Street headed toward Main Street at 11:39 p.m. that night, according to his report. Brazil noted the back license plate on the car wasn't lit, and pulled the driver over.

Mancini appeared nervous while he was speaking with him, Brazil reported, exhibiting shaking hands and a trembling voice. Brazil could also smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The officer ordered all the occupants of the car out and searched them, finding no weapons.
Brazil asked permission to search the car, and then the trunk of the car, both of which Mancini consented to, according to his report. In the trunk, Brazil found three Zip-lock style bags containing marijuana, about three ounces. He also found a scale and box of plastic baggies, which Brazil said are commonly used in the packaging and sale of narcotics.

The marijuana, scale and baggies were seized, and Brazil arrested Mancini, charging him with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and driving while in possession of a controlled substance. He was also issued a citation for the broken license plate light.
During processing, Brazil also discovered $580 and a black touch screen cell phone on Mancini's person, which were also seized and placed in evidence.
