albert.gregory@patch.com Albert Gregory (he/him) graduated from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where he studied documentary filmmaking. At UC Berkeley, he shot, produced and edited his thesis film about the nearly half of domestic violence survivors who will not leave an abusive situation if they cannot bring their pet with them and one woman’s mission to eliminate that barrier. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from SF State where he served as the Managing Editor for Xpress the Magazine and was the Multimedia Editor for the Golden Gate Xpress newspaper. In addition, Albert was Editor-in-Chief at the Oak Leaf newspaper at Santa Rosa Junior College during the 2017 Tubbs Fire. He has also worked as a freelance writer/ photographer, and his work has appeared in The Press Democrat, USA Today, Bleacher Report and more. Albert was born in Portland, Oregon, but grew up a military brat on a Coast Guard base in Novato, California.
