ACROSS WISCONSIN — Pick N' Save, Metro Market and other Kroger stores in Wisconsin will no longer require its fully vaccinated customers and most of its employees to wear masks starting Thursday.

Starting May 20, fully vaccinated customers and most fully vaccinated associates no longer need to wear a mask in Kroger facilities unless otherwise required by local jurisdiction, the retailer said Wednesday.

"Based on the CDC's science-based guidance and the input of our associates, we are updating our mask policy," the retailer said in a statement.

Non-vaccinated associates will still be required to wear a mask inside. Associates inside of pharmacies and clinic locations will be required to mask up as well.

"We request that non-vaccinated customers continue to wear a mask," the retailer said. "And we will continue to respect the choices of individuals who prefer to continue to wear a mask."
