Back To School: Malden 2022-23 School Calendar
Malden students will be back in the classroom in the coming weeks. Here are some important dates for the rest of the school year.
MALDEN, MA — For many, summer remains in full swing. The new school year is fast approaching though, with students set to be back in the classroom in just a matter of weeks.
The Malden Public Schools has released its 2022-2023 calendar, complete with information on the first day of classes, Thanksgiving break, winter break and more.

The first day of school for students in preschool and grades one through 12 is set for Aug. 31. Kindergarten students will start classes on Sept. 9. The last day will be June 14, though snow could push the end of schools as far as June 22.
There will be early dismissal days before Thanksgiving break and winter break.

As students and families get set for a new school year, here's a list of important dates to know:
- First Day (preschool, grades 1-12): Aug. 31
- First Day (kindergarten): Sept. 9
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 - 25
- Winter Break: Dec. 26 - Jan. 2
- February Break: Feb. 20 - 24
- Spring Break: April 17 - 21
- Last Day (no snow days): June 14
