Back To School: See Malden Schools 2023-24 School Calendar

MALDEN, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Malden, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Malden Public Schools.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• Aug. 30, first day for grades 1-12
• Aug. 31, kindergarten orientation/screening
• Sept. 1, no school
• Sept. 4, no school for Labor Day
• Sept. 5-6, kindergarten orientation/screening
• Sept. 7, first day of school for preschool and kindergarten
• Oct. 3, preK-12 early dismissal
• Oct. 9, no school for Indigenous Peoples' Day
• Nov. 7, no school for staff professional development day
• Nov. 10, no school for Veterans Day
• Nov. 22, early dismissal
• Nov. 23-24, Thanksgiving Break
• Dec. 11, early dismissal
• Dec. 25-Jan. 1, Winter Break
• Jan. 2, no school for staff professional development day
• Jan. 15, no school for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday
