Detours, Parking Bans Ahead During Malden Road Paving

Malden city officials said community members should leave extra time in their commute this week to navigate possible delays.

MALDEN, MA — Roadway paving will bring parking bans and detours to some Malden streets this week as crews move forward with three days of work on area roads, the city announced on Monday.

Paving will take place on the following schedule:

  • Tuesday: Floral Avenue, Hill Street, Huntley Terrace, Biathrow Street, Otis Street
  • Wednesday: Rutland Street, Baker Street, Franklin Street, Franklin Court, Almont Street
  • Thursday: Davis Street, Hadley Street, Glenwood Street

Paving will run each day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There will be no on-street parking during paving hours on affected streets. Police will be on hand to handle detours and local traffic, as noted in the city’s announcement on Monday.

City officials advised community members to leave extra time in their commutes this week. Residents with questions about entering or exiting a driveway on a street being paved should check with local work supervisors and/or police.
